"Open a bird saloon! No birdbath needed!"

...says the subject of a message in my inbox. : ) It's an ad about organic gardening and made me laugh, hoping the same for you. What a weekend...the birds are cheerfully crooning melodies outside the open window, daffodils are smiling in the sun and eggs are being transformed to their colorful best.
Happy Easter, Buona Pasqua, Glad Påsk!
Snapped this photo in Union Square last weekend--a Gandhi statue with a beautiful Magnolia behind... that's probably blooming now! Heard Norah Jones live, what a show!

In this season of new beginnings and renewal, maybe you're contemplating a new 'do? Skip the bangs, become a RED Head.
You won't need any convincing after hearing Red Molly's new album, James. This week in our Hudson Valley Artist Spotlight, we caught up with Carolann Solebello, who is one third the captivating three-part harmony that is Red Molly. The song we listened to from the album is The Last Call, written by local artist, Anthony DaCosta. If you're in Manhattan this Monday night, Abbie Gardner and Anthony DaCosta are performing in the NY Songwriter's Circle @ The Bitter End @ 8pm. Carolann, Laurie and Abbie are on the road with a stop @ Sounding Board Coffeehouse in West Hartford, CT next Saturday, 4/10 @ 8pm, and return to The Turning Point in Piermont on June 6th for two shows. Keep up with their busy tour schedule and check out the album James at their web home.

Thanks for a fun week of song ideas...this 80's gem has been running around in my brain...

Peace,
