Moonbeams make the snow glow : )

It was a beautiful drive home under radiant moonlight tonight. The approaching arrival of the month of February a welcome step closer to the colors and fragrance of springtime...Support our neighbors in Haiti who see the same moon with eyes that are weary from loss and devastation, at the Help for Haiti benefit at the Paramount in Peekskill this Sunday night @ 8pm.

Tonight in our Hudson Valley Artist Spotlight, we met Erin and Steve from the band Erin Hobson Compact. We heard the song Holding On from the album Talk Radio. Lots of upcoming shows on their calendar including next Friday night at Skytop in Kingston @ 9pm or Hyde Park Brewing Company on February 29th @ 9pm. Learn more about Erin, the band and their music at their web home or space.
Do you have a favorite moon song?

Help for Haiti with music in Peekskill...

Just a quick note...if you were tuned in last night, we caught up with Art Halperin and his wife Nadeje about the Help For Haiti benefit at the Paramount Center for The Arts in Peekskill, this Sunday night @ 8pm. Nadeje is a native of Port-au-Prince, for whom the Haiti earthquake has been devastating on a personal level. The money raised at the event will go to Stand With Haiti, an initiative of Partners in Health. Details here. Andy Bale will be hosting!

The song we listened to is called Sing for Peace, and you can find it on the album Waves, by Work of Art, which is Art Halperin's band. Check out his studio here. More to share later...Erin Hobson Compact in our spotlight tonight!

Peace in music,
