A favorite four-letter word...

...home! The snowstorm last Thursday night impacted the road home for many of us, and changed the routine for several days that followed, but the outages were electrical and the 'power' in the community persevered. : ) Thanks to the utility crews who weathered cold conditions to restore things back to the way we have come to appreciate them. Kind of feels like we've earned springtime--that may have appeared out the window today...

Friday night in our Hudson Valley Artist Spotlight, we met 12-year-old Christopher McGinnis, who is as inspiring as he is talented. Already an accomplished musician, songwriter and actor-- keep an ear out for his voice in the Disney promotion for the new Harry Potter ride, airing during The Today Show! We listened to Christopher's song Dreams Are Made Of, downloadable at Amazon or iTunes. Christopher has performed twice at Madison Square Garden during Knicks games...I think he may someday be headlining there. : )

My first day of an extra long weekend (will be back with you on Monday night) included watching the film Miss Potter. A beautiful story about a prolific artist, conservationist and storyteller-- that didn't earn any Oscar nominations, but is a sweet reminder of the lasting impact of one imagination...
